Suburban Brokers Inc. Acquires Kando Insurance Agency
We are excited to announce that Suburban Brokers Inc. officially acquired Kando Insurance Agency, effective August 1, 2024.
Suburban Brokers and Kando Insurance Agency enjoyed a strong, collaborative relationship for many years. When Anne Horst, President of Kando, chose to retire, it was a natural progression for her clients' insurance needs to be seamlessly transitioned to Suburban Brokers. Both agencies shared the same physical location for an extended period, which further facilitated a smooth transition.

From Anne B. Horst -
My mother, Beverly O’Neill, worked for many years at a Paterson, NJ insurance agency. The men around her were always saying “no can do”. In 1960, she decided to go out on her own, and open her own insurance agency. So, she decided to name her business Cando. She applied for “Cando” but the name was taken, so she chose “Kando”.
I joined our family business some years later, and it’s the only place I’ve ever worked. I love helping people through their insurance difficulties, helping them find the best solutions to their needs.
If I don’t have a ready answer to their questions, I’ll find the answer for them right away. |
